Phosho Dough Reviews

I got the fish banh mi and fried egg rolls. Both great! The sandwich was absolutely stuffed. Now that I found them they'll be part of my regular rotation! Service was fast and friendly as well.

We came back for round two and ordered the fried spring rolls! Honestly probably the best egg rolls I've had in a long time -- the perfect amount of crisp and the flavor was delicious!

I really enjoy this restaurant, so much so that I have ordered from them a few times now. Their ingredients are super fresh and the portions are very generous. Their Grilled Shrimp Spring Rolls, Fried Egg Rolls, and Shredded Chicken Pho are really good (the roasted chicken pho is good too, but I prefer their shredded chicken which surprisingly isn't dried out to oblivion - it definitely is one of my most ordered items from this spot). I tried their Grilled Pork Sandwich today and unfortunately it was not good at all compared to other places I have had this sandwich at and not something I would order again. The bread really is what killed the sandwich for me. It didn't have a crispy exterior which is a quality I love in this type of sandwich and was rather dense vs. being airy. I get it that I likely sound super picky, but I have had some amazing banh mi sandwiches in my lifetime thus far and this was just not one of them. The bread's density really overpowers the ingredients in it. The pickled carrots also didn't seem to be pickled long enough as their flavor was rather flat and sweet with little to no acidity. Overall this is a great restaurant that I will continue to visit especially for their shredded chicken pho.

AMAZING experience. Phat sandwiches. Service with a smile. The kitchen was backed up, I went at 12pm sharp, but the owner personally made my sandwich and it was ready in seconds. I love the type of service Treated like a regular even though it was only my second visit since it opened a while back. I will keep this in my rotation for wfh lunch options.

Wait Time: No wait for a early Saturday Dinner, food arrived 15 minute after placing order. Unique Factor: 3/5 - Proteins choices are unique to the restaurant, offerings are your standard vermicelli salads, pho and banh mi, overall a derivative of your typical Vietnamese restaurant in the Bay Area. We tried the grilled fish vermicelli bowl and Fresh Sliced Beef & Beef Ball Noodle Soup. Accoutrements and seasoning were modest in quantity and flavor. A great local spot for when the pho cravings are strong. Personal bite: Service: Mostly takeout with a few bistro tables set along the sidewalk.

It might not be easy to tell from the picture I uploaded, but the sandwiches here are massive! I got mine with lemongrass beef. It was very flavorful, the bread was toasted nicely, and it was so filling I had to wrap up half of it to-go. It's not a huge place, but there are a couple of tables right outside on the side street (which is pretty quiet and peaceful). Service was good -- staff made sure to walk around with water refills. I would definitely come back to try another sandwich and their other items!

Great little banh mi spot. I got the pork banh mi. We ordered inside which is tiny but they have a few tables outside and they will bring your food to your table. It came pretty quick and the everything felt and tasted really fresh. Good size portion I was able to save half my sandwich for later. Definitely want to come back and try some of the other items

The fried egg rolls reminds me of the ones on Guam. So on this alone I'm going to give it 5 starts they are huge compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the Bay Area. They were also tasty. You order inside and you eat on the sidewalk good if it's a nice day out. The service was pretty good and attentive.

Hole in the wall pho shop in Oakland! There is no inside seating here but they did have a few seats outside so don't try to eat here with a big group. We ordered our pho at the table and the pho came out shortly after. On to the food Beef and meatball pho 4/5 This pho was flavorful and had a lot of umami. It was perfectly salted and I loved how soft and tender the beef slices were. It comes with the usual accoutrements. Fried egg rolls 4/5 These egg rolls were huge!!! Came with 4 rolls that are super long. It was tasty. The dip was a little on the sweet side and could've used a spicy kick. I also wish it had lettuce to eat it with. Overall, delicious pho spot with a decent amount of food!! Definitely would come back.
